Well, the analysts of HR of a company planning should, in my opinion, following the logic, the C language is the foundation, who has a program in C facility plan in any language.
A vacancy in Java ask, or better, you can ask C; now for VB 6.0 is not necessary, you can ask SQL.

Super cool you learn Java in Brazil, related to programming, the "Javeiros" are generally better paid professionals, but of course that a load of knowledge faraonica to deserve such market value.
The site http://www.javafree.org/ you'll find many people who develop in Java and it has ads for vacancies. The important thing is that when you're getting, get a job is worth more to get experience than add to the filling pocket.

I totally agree! I can consider myself a lucky in life! Despite not being registered in the company as a programmer (here in the company was contracted to "help support!" Hehehehe!).
I say lucky because the person who interviewed me for the vacancy was not instructed me to require knowledge in various programming languages. The company wanted at the time, simply, someone who had knowledge of SQL in Oracle. How well I know the mysql, I rolled it and one said that the custard bagaça! It was an incredible chance that the company gave me, because I could create some applications for them in PHP and Oracle, and consequently learned a lot from that!
... It happens very often in his first interview for the post of programmer is done with the head of HR and that, in most cases, does not have any technical knowledge on the subject. As the HR does not have much appeal to whom he is in packaged in another ad that he found in old Catho life.
